Now open!
After 3 years of renovation work, the new Stade Vélodrome stadium was inaugurated on 16 October 2014, towering over neighbouring Marseille Chanot. Its 67,000 seat capacity makes it the one of the largest sporting complexes in France, second only to the Stade de France in Saint Denis (Paris). This is first and foremost a sports venue, but the stadium also offers 8,500 sq m of private rooms for seminars, evening functions and corporate events. Marseille Chanot is located close by, offering complementary events spaces, as demonstrated by a recent Caisse d’Epargne event, organised across both venues.
